The Graduate School of the College of Charleston is proud to participate in the Peace Corps Master's International (PCMI) Program. This unique opportunity allows you to combine the experience of serving overseas with a master's degree. In our case, you will earn your Master of Science in Environmental Studies as you participate in strengthening a community in one of 77 countries.
Peace Corps volunteers spend 27 months positively impacting their host community. Specifically, volunteers provide assistance in six areas: education, youth and community development, health, business and information and communications technology, agriculture, and environment*. As a College of Charleston Peace Corps Master's International student, you can focus on natural resources assessment and conservation, human-environment studies, or any of the many other environmentally related options available through our Environmental Studies program. Both science and policy avenues are available. If you are ready to help make an international impact while enhancing your own education, consider the PCMI program your calling.
